Good day...
Today has been a good day. I got a promotion at work. I was offered the position of Branch Manager at the Knightstown office of Ameriana. How cool is that? What's even cooler is that I was at that office helping out last week and decided that it would be cool to manage that office some day. The current manager was going to retire in a couple of years and I wanted to replace her, if possible. Well, that manager (who has been there for 13 years) was sent to another office and I was offered her position. God is so good. When we least expect it and are not looking for it, he will give us the desires of our hearts.
I'm also going to be an aunt again! My brother Matt and his wife told me today that they are going to have another baby. They have been trying for a while now. They have one daughter now, Kaylyn, who is three. Beth has had a miscarriage before so please pray that this will be a healthy baby and a good pregnancy.
For anyone who might be interested, I am going to try and have a meeting after Church on Sunday for anyone who would like to help with the planning of the benefit for my sister. The surgery is going to be on August 22nd and we are going to try to have the benefit on August 12th. The reason for having it at the Church is because I have had an overwhelming amount of people from my Church family offer to help if they can. I am definitely going to need all the help I can get. I am really blessed to be a part of such a wonderful group of people.
Anyway, it's nice to have a good day every once in a while. Gives me hope...

i was listening to 88.1 today on the way to work, and donna was having her talk show. at the end of the show they have prayer time...the first person she prayed for was a "sarah and her kidney transplant"....donna was praying for her on the air and it was totally awesome! i began praying right along side. God's awesome like that and SO many people are praying for you whole family. love you joni!
