MY MAN

I talk a lot about my kids so today I thought I would talk about my hubby. I love Jonathan so much. We have been married for 6 1/2 years and I love him more and more every day. A lot of people don't know Jonathan (I mean really know him.) He is the best husband, the best father and just plain best person I know. He may want you to think otherwise, but Jonathan LOVE's people. He genuinely cares about people and what they are going through. He is very sensitive. He does not like to hurt people and he absolutely hates the idea of someone being (even mildly) upset with him. He is a people pleaser (much like myself.) He goes out of his way to make sure other people are happy and taken care of before looking at himself. He thinks he is not good enough (at anything) when he is the most talented person I know (yes, I know that I am a bit partial:) He tends to keep his heart guarded as he carries around a lot of hurt and baggage (although the Lord, I know, will deliver him from this.) He loves his wife and kids. He hates his job with a passion but he sticks with it (because he loves his wife and kids) and he puts our needs above his own. He has big dreams, although, I don't think he believes enough in himself to think they will ever come true. My point? Jonathan, I love you, more than you will ever know. You are a truly amazing person and you are way too hard on yourself. The kids and I are so blessed to have someone like you in our lives. Some day, your dreams will come true. I truly believe that. Just hang in there...the Lord is going to do some amazing things in our lives...we just have to trust him.

Oh my gosh!!! Here's just one more thing we have in common...we both love Bubby! Seriously, I hope you both know how much you mean to me. I have seen Jonathan go through so much in this life and yet he is still such a soft hearted person.
Joni, you described your husband and our Bubby perfectly. You're right, not too many people know Jonathan like this and I am blessed that me and my family know him this way. He is a treasure and I consider it a pleasure to be as big a part of his life as I am. I treasure every minute that I have spent with you both and the kids (I got to spend time with them today...YEAH!!!).
You are both amazing people and I know that God is going to continue to do even more amazing things through you both.
Thanks for sharing your husband with us. I know it isn't easy for you. I love you both so incredibly much.
Joni,
My family has been blessed beyond measure getting to know your family better over the last few years. You and jonathon and your awesome kids are an important part of our lives and we know that God has such huge plans for you ( the traveling Roberts Family) j/k
The Kemerly family has truely been enriched by spending time with yours and getting to know your family.
We believe in you both.
oh and the boys new favorite song is "I Love Tacos"
Gotta say it is a catchy song!
Joni, if you weren't a bit partial toward your hubby, we'd have to send you to marriage counseling! Every good man needs a supportive wife standing behind him.
Jon is really a blessing! We love him (and his awesome family) more than he could ever know, and it's been a joy being a fellow worshiper with him! He's been a friend ever since I can remember!
love you guys,
Joni, I just now found your blog. You are such a blessing as well as Jonathon especially when he sings, "I Can Only Imagine"! Love You both bunches!
yeah he's alright! He a good kid real good as long as i'm around he'll always be second best you see, maybe i can make you some new slippers made form the heads of innocent and defenseless little baby seals. Well yeah Jonathan is pretty cool just ask him about the seals.
Joni, I just have to say that Jon inspires me to be a better person. I am amazed at how much he forgives people when they purposely say things to hurt him. I couldn't hold my tongue like he does and I admire him for that. You are right about him being humble anybody that says he isn't HUMBLE doesn't know him at all. He is a talented person but doesn't like to hear it. Both of you are the most caring people I know and you are both blessed to have each other. We are blessed to have you two as friends. Sorry if this sounds sappy but you both have enriched our lives. Thanks for your friendship.
one of my most prominent memories of jon is him playing house with the 4 solomon girls. i've recently asked him why he played with us and his answer was, "because my parents made me." but between you and me..i'm sure he had fun and enjoyed it. (i don't think he'll ever admit it). but we always loved him being our dad..he changed my "diaper" once haha! and i know that however awesome he was at being a "pretend" dad, he's a million times better being a real dad!!! he always told us he would name his son oaklandon so he could call him oakie..? but i like chase better! and i love YOU GUYS! you're such a beautiful family! xoxo!
lol Miriam's story is funny.
Jon, you "changed her diaper"? hahaha. That's so funny. You were always a little kid to me (when we were younger), but really you were only 2 years behind. Cute as a button.
